Account & data deletion

Dekita is not yet released, so there are no user accounts or personal data to delete right now. When the app launches, deleting your account and data will be simple — and this page will always tell you exactly how.

How deletion will work in the app

Inside the Dekita app you'll be able to request deletion of your account and personal data from Settings. When you do:

These steps complete within 72 hours. Encrypted backups are purged on their own rotation schedule (a maximum retention window that is tracked separately and disclosed in the Privacy Policy); after that window no copy remains.

Request deletion by email (now or any time)

You can always ask us directly. Email hello@heydekita.com with the subject Delete my Dekita data from the email associated with your request. We'll confirm and complete the deletion, and reply when it's done.

What is not deleted

Records we are legally required to retain (for example, minimal transaction records for tax or fraud-prevention purposes) may be kept for the period the law requires, in a restricted form, and are then deleted. Anything held only to contact you about early access is removed on request.
